WTF Friday...Maybe WTH Friday?
Hi everyone! Happy Friday!
Today's edition should be softened to WTH Friday. It's more like, what the hell were these ladies thinking? Dropping the eff bomb is a little much for these three gorgeous ladies, but they still look a mess.
I think what frustrates me about these (fairly fug) ensembles is that they make these women look much larger than they actually are. And, friends, no one wants to look larger than we are. Write that down.
Let's not waste a moment...here we go! First up is the beautiful Amanda Peet...

This is a heinous combo of a total drabfest and some really ill-fitting clothing. The pantalones' cut is awkward and totally unflattering and the colors make me want to take a nap. And that's not a compliment. Amanda, you have a great figure, please stop hiding it with Gramma's throwbacks.
And then we have Ms. Jessica Simpson. Who, despite her great bod, routinely wears things that make her look more like a linebacker and less like a lady. Exhibit A...

Oh Jess...comon' girlfriend. I understand it's summer and we want to keep cool and all, but these shants (shorts/pants) are uber unflattering. They would be unflattering on anyone, really, when you pair them with chunky wedges that cut off your ankle. This looks sloppy and sad. Fail.
And lastly we have Khloe Kardashian. Who I think is completely adorable and hilarious in her own right...but WTH happened here...?!

Oh Miley. I know you're "just being Miley", and trust me, girlfriend I AM just a touch jealous that you can sport an olive green onesie. BUT comon' sweetheart, this is not appropriate for anyone but Lady Gaga and it looks like you lost your pantalones. Oh my....oh my....Lily. Girlfriend looks like she's workin' at a renaissance festival (btw - they kind of scare me) or maybe she's playing dress up for the new Robin Hood flick. In any case, I don't see a massivo turkey leg in her hand, so this frock fails. FAILS. In addition, this color is kinda heinous on her - it's drab and oh so sad.

Michelle, my bell, this floppy pink frock is styled soooo poorly. It's too long and too relaxed. It vaguely reminds me of one of those terry cloth, strapless robes. The too-tight blueberry, cropped sweatsuit with platform heels is just NOT ok. Girlfriend - I am totes ok with sporting a casual look but this does noooothing for you and you look silly. WTF Mariah - please bring back the "Honey" days. You looked put together and fashionably chic.

I have NO problem with the cut or stripey-ness - I think it's quite fetching, actually. No no, the reason that this sweet little cardi makes it into my WTF Friday is because of its price. It's $248.
WTF, Anthro. I don't care if it's Leifsdottir. It's a cute, cotton cardi - $248 is insane. INSANE. Does it wash my car for me? Because at $248, it absolutely should.

Hmmm...Ginnifer that skin below your collarbone and above your navel is just stunning. Whaaa?? Plus, velvet? I know there have been some cooling trends, but this look is not cool. It bums me out because usually Ginnifer just kills it with her ensembles. This look just dies. It also vaguely reminds me of Silence of the Lambs - you know, when he's preparing his skin suit? I know...gross...sorry. No likey.
And then there is Leighton Meester - another adorable girl with a wonky ensemble. From the front, this dress is actually cute! Then we turn to the back. It's SUPER LEIGHTON! Fly away with your fringe! Either that or she's modeling spring's newest trend - Car Wash Accessories. WTF Leighton - stopit.
And it wouldn't be a true WTF Friday without some randomness from Mischa Barton. Mischa - Christy Turlington called from her 1985 Cosmo photo spread - she wants her outfit back. There is nothing good to remark about this atrocity - the red pumps are an awkward height, the jeans have a horrible fit (and NO one looks good in banana yellow jeans), plus keep your belly to yourself - I don't care how good or bad it looks.

So, speaking of inappropriate things - on to WTF Friday! I tried, and I mean surrriously tried, NOT to include L-insanity again this week. But guess what? I just couldn't avoid it. Her ensemble was just too atrocious. And on to Lindsay...
Oh, look! Lindsay missed her audition for Easy Rider and is doing her best to score the next role in The Matrix. Listen, I have no problem with well-tailored leather pants or even liquid leggings, but what's with the headpiece and the bulky leather jacket? Errrr....fail. Plus, I really support a healthy hair cut. Just sayin'...

WTF Friday: Mariah Carey & Lily Allen
Happy Friday everyone! Up for WTF'dom today are Mariah Carey and Lily Allen. Both of these lovely ladies have made notoriously heinous outfit choices in the past and what do scholars say, hmmm?! Yes, the past typically predicts the future. Case and point below...
Um, Mariah...did you raid the dress rack from a 1984 quinceanera? This dress is just fugtastic...and doesn't do a damn thing for her curves. Ack. Plus the color washes her out and that is too much boobage - even for Mariah. One pop and lock and she would give Janet Jackson (circa Superbowl 2004 wardrobe malfunction) a run for her money. Mariah - pretty please hire a stylist.
And then there is Morticia Adams, oh wait, I mean Lily Allen. I get that she's trying to be edgy and dark but this is just laughable. It looks like lovely Lily snagged some hefty bags, found a breastplate from the 1700s and mashed them all together. ACK.

Happy freakin' Friday! As I mentioned in my posts this week, it has really been a long one for me! So glad the week is ovaaaaaa!

First up is AnnaLynne McCord - a repeat WTF offender!
Oh AnnaLynne. Girlfiend often looks like she's wearing a costume! WTF - Halloween only comes once per year. Miss K offered up another one of AnnaLynne's WTF outfit choices here. Seriously, I'm so confused. In the photo above, she looks a hot mess - a cross between a flamenco dancer and Malibu Barbie, circa 1996. AnnaLynne, sweetie, please hire a new stylist, preferably one with taste - you are way too purty to dress this way.

And then we have the gorgeous Kim Kardashian. Kim looks great about 90% of the time, the other 10% she looks a bit...well...odd. Like above. Ohhkay, Kim, we get it, this is your new line for Bebe, but a plasticky bustier over a stretch dress is fug - even on you. And WTF is with the gloves?! And the hood?! Not cute, at all. Walk, no...RUN...to the nearest shopping mall and return this unfortunate ensemble. You can do so much better.
