WTF Friday: Sportin' the Armour

Happy Friday to all!

For today's WTF Friday I wanted to feature just a few offenders that really put me over the edge. #1 - Leighton Meester.

You're such a lovely girl - there is not a reason on Earth to sport a full on leather armour suit in the middle of the summer. Even if it is Chanel, and even if it is their Shanghai collection.

And don't get me wrong - I lurve me some Chanel. But the timing and the styling of this ensemble is horrendous. Leighton - wait to pull out the long sleeve leather armour until fall, at a minimum. This is one of Leighton's much softer offenders...as there are elements of this dress that I really enjoy.

And then we have the Kaleidoscope Tank at Forever21....

Yes, yes, Forever21 what I really, really wanted for Christmas in July is a macrame vest that resembles a cut out of grammy's blanket. How (not) adorable will this look with skinnies and boots?! Forget a Snuggie - I have a blanket vest! Hoooooooray!

WTF Friday...Triple Threat

Happy Friday to everyone! Who's excited for the weekend?! Both hands up over here!

For today's edition of WTF Friday I have a few precious photos to share...first up is Ms. Ginnifer Goodwin....

Hmmm...Ginnifer that skin below your collarbone and above your navel is just stunning. Whaaa?? Plus, velvet? I know there have been some cooling trends, but this look is not cool. It bums me out because usually Ginnifer just kills it with her ensembles. This look just dies. It also vaguely reminds me of Silence of the Lambs - you know, when he's preparing his skin suit? I know...gross...sorry. No likey.

And then there is Leighton Meester - another adorable girl with a wonky ensemble. From the front, this dress is actually cute! Then we turn to the back. It's SUPER LEIGHTON! Fly away with your fringe! Either that or she's modeling spring's newest trend - Car Wash Accessories. WTF Leighton - stopit.

And it wouldn't be a true WTF Friday without some randomness from Mischa Barton. Mischa - Christy Turlington called from her 1985 Cosmo photo spread - she wants her outfit back. There is nothing good to remark about this atrocity - the red pumps are an awkward height, the jeans have a horrible fit (and NO one looks good in banana yellow jeans), plus keep your belly to yourself - I don't care how good or bad it looks.

WTF Friday: Rihanna & Leighton

Oh mama. Do I have some fun WTFs for you today...let's not waste any time!

Oh Leighton...we've talked about your wacky "fashion sense" before. What is this look, "naked Victorian"? Just because your pants are high rise, does not mean that the remainder of your outfit is pardoned from covering the rest of your body. WTF, girlfriend...please cease from wearing the fugtastic enembles, you're such a cute young lady, please dress like one.

And then there is Rihanna, who I think is just stunning and can rock just about anything...except this. But, WTF, clearly girlfriend is a fan of the 80s with these ho-rrendous leggings and Barbie shoes. RiRi - we're confused, we like your avant garde looks and your fashion forward ensembles, but this messy shiz is NOT attractive, even on you.

And these super duper lace shorts. Yes, Forever21, this is exactly what I was looking for to complete my weekend attire. Skin tight, long, sheer lace shorts. YES! Thank God. Now my wardrobe is complete. It's so Madonna circa 1984, except it's not Halloween and it's not hot...at all.

Leighton Meester's "Someone to Love" featuring Robin Thicke!

Superstar actress Leighton Meester, best known for her starring role on the CW's 'Gossip Girl', is taking on the music world and she's doing it full-throttle! Fresh off the heals of her smash collaboration with Cobra Starship, "Good Girls Go Bad", she teamed up with R&B crooner Robin Thicke for her official debut single, "Somebody to Love". Take a listen now!

"Somebody to Love" is the first single for her untitled debut album, which is due for release in Winter/Spring 2010. Citing artists such as Gwen Stefani and MIA as musical influences, Meester describes her new music as having an "electro pop edge". The album will boost collaborations with heavy-weight producers JR Rotem and Kara DioGuardi (who also worked with Meester and Cobra Starship on "Good Girls Go Bad").

Over the past several years, Leighton has built up a solid resume of singing/acting performances, including a singing role in the 2007 movie Drive Thru and a one-of-a-kind duet with the legendary Tony Bennett on the hit HBO series 'Entourage'. Most recently, ‘leaked’ versions of the Kim Carnes classic "Bette Davis Eyes", the Awesome New Republic song “Birthday” featuring Meester on lead vocals, and the original song "Body Control" have been embraced by online fans and music bloggers.
