How do you get your inspiration for the outfits you wear ?

Lots of my inspiration comes from fellow bloggers. Also from nature, old rockstars like john lennon and stevie nicks.

Who has had the biggest fashon influence on your outfits ?

As said in the last question i love getting ideas and inspiration from Fashion bloggers all around the globe

What made you start posting your pictures on chictopia ? 

I first noticed chictopia through other bloggers and found it was such a great site because everyone is so positive and lovely.

What blogs and websites do you follow and why ? 

I like to follow a lot of different blogs; from experienced bloggers to brand new bloggers (to watch them transform and improve their blogs). Everyone has different take on style and thats what makes fashion so interesting.

Would you describe yourself as a trendsetter or fashion follower ?

I wouldn't say I'm a trendsetter but i do like to pick up new ideas and dress the way i think looks best.

How would you describe your style ? 

Vintage clothes sculptured by new trends

Does the hosiery you wear dictate the clothes,outfit you wear ?

Hmm yes sometimes. I love tights so sometimes i think 'Yes i want to wear those today' so then i'll choose an outfit to suit them

What is in your hosiery drawer or closet ?

Everything from vintage silk tights to floral net tights. I like different colours and my favourite coloured tights right now are my dark berry tights

How do you choose your hosiery ? 

If i see an outfit that inspires me i think tights are a great way to create that look because they are not too expensive but are always pretty

Where do you shop for hoseiry ? 

Online, vintage stores or 'sock shops'

What was the last item of hosiery you brought, how much you spent etc ?

The last tights i bought were my spotty tights off ebay for a great price of $8

Do you prefer sheer or opaque tights,stockings or holdups,socks or kneehighs,sheer toe or reinforced ? 

At the moment i like sheer patterned tights. I also love knee high tights

How does wearing tights make you feel ? More feminine,better with girly outfits not thought about it ?

I think tights can make an outfit more girly but can also add an edge to a basic black outfit. They keep me warm too =)

Do you physically like the feel of tights and touch ?  Do your legs ache less, prefer than pants ? not thought about it ?

I love tights because they are way more comfortable than jeans and pants and i love the feel against me skin

When do you wear hosiery,daily-once a week etc ?

4-6 times a week

What is your hosiery staple ? 

Right now i love my spotty tights and my floral net tights from 'falke'

What are your style tips for wearing tights ?

Tights can add so much to an outfit so just have fun and don't be afraid to wear coloured tights every now and again

How do you put on tights?

just pull them straight on =) but carefully!

Do you keep a spare pair of tights in your bag ?

not usually no

The best and worst things about hosiery, Love-hate ?

Keeps me stylish and warm! And you have to be very careful when wearing lots of rings so they don't snag

Do you recycle your tights ?

not that i can think of. ?

1. How do you get your inspiration for the outfits you wear ?

I get my inspiration from all over the place... Art, Music and Literature are certainly a great influence for how I like to dress. Sometimes I hear a song or see a picture and suddenly I see a whole new outfit. But of course I'm also surfing the internet for new ideas, there are some great fashion blogs out there (like this one).

2. How would you describe your style ?

That is a really difficult question. I try not to limit myself: one day I feel like wearing skinny jeans and Converse Sneakers, but on the other day I might want to dress really feminine, with lots of silk and pastel colours. What is constant is my love for floral patterns and cool leather jackets, they are such a great team! 

3. What is in your hosiery drawer or closet ?  

I actually can't list them all, I'm in desperate need of a drawer dedicated to hosiery only. But I love patterned ones: hearts, dots and florals. However, I also own opaque tights in almost every colour (not brown though). 

4. Where do you shop for hosiery ?

I mostly buy really cheap hosiery, some of them are really delicate and if they get torn it doesn't really matter (if I like a pair A LOT, I always buy them twice).

I often go to H&M but I also go to department stores (e.g. Migros, but this exists only in Switzerland I think). When I'm abroad, I love to go to Topshop (but then I lovelovelove Topshop for anything), Miss Selfridges or Accessorize.

5. How does wearing tights make you feel emotionally ?

I just think my legs look soooo much better when I wear tights, thus they make me feel more self-confident!

6. When do you wear hosiery,daily-once a week etc ?

In winter I wear black tights every day. I'm usually quite cold and tights keep me warm. But they are not only practical, because when it gets warmer, I wear tights to make my outfit more special and unique. So I wear tights very frequently... 

7. What are your style tips for wearing tights ?

The great thing about tights is the fact that there are NO rules on how to wear them. If you pair your dotty tights with a leopard-skirt and keep the rest simple, it will look great. But it is usually best to keep an outfit as simple as possible, if you wear a patterned shirt combined with a floral skirt, black tights are the best choice. Tights are probably the best fashion accessory because they are cheap, stylish and practical.

How do you get your inspiration for the outfits you wear ?

Usually i just get it when i go shopping. I spot something i like and frequently lots of ideas come in mind on how and with what i will wear it.

Who has had the biggest fashon influence on your outfits ?

School girls, everything Chanel, the 60s, menswear, the outfits people wear at horse races 

How would you describe your style ? 

Preppy, very feminine. Even when i wear menswear which i do a lot!

What made you start posting your pictures on chictopia ? 

Actually i started posting my pictures on fotolog.com back in 2006 and everybody started to comment about my outfits, usually how they liked them, and if could give them some advice or where i bought my clothes, so when i heard about chictopia it just seemed right that i would upload my pictures there, a fashion oriented social network, where i could reach people i woulden't in my fotolog webpage and where all that information would be next to the picture in a more practical way.

My favorite websites defenitly are style.com and thefashionspot.com they are so complete, and you really can get all the information you want. As for blogs i like The Sartoralist and Style and The City.

Trendsetter, ive never been good at following trends, i prefer to make them.

Does the hosiery you wear dictate the clothes,outfit you wear ?

Usually not, but if i wear heart tights im not wearing stripes or flower prints, there are things that at least for me just don't go together.

What is in your hosiery drawer or closet ? 

Tights in colors: black all deniers, navy blue, white, dark grey, heart tights, spotted tights all sizes (big, medium and small spots), black lace tights, white lace tights, star tights, leopard tights, two tone tights

Over the knee socks in colors: black with white spots, black,white, cream, dark grey, light grey, wine and black.

Knee High socks: black, cream, beige, light grey

Ankle socks in colors: black, white, beige, brown,light grey, dark grey, leopard

How do you choose your hosiery ? 

I like neutral color hosiery. I dont like when theres too much going on your legs so i avoid bright colors and messy prints.

Where do you shop for hoseiry ? 

Everywhere. From Topshop to department stores, to hosiery speciallized stores. 

What was the last item of hosiery you brought, how much you spent etc ?

Ankle socks 12 euros for 2 pairs.

Do you prefer sheer or opaque tights,stockings or holdups,socks or kneehighs,sheer toe or reinforced ? 

This one is hard i love them all. I guess for winter I prefer opaque tights and kneehighs, for spring or fall ankle socks and sheer tights.

Do you ever wear 10 denier tights or sheer hose if so how long do they last you ?

Of course i do, 10 denier in winter and it lasts me all winter. Sheer hose i wear too and that usually would not last me more that 3 wears.

How does wearing tights make you feel emotionally ? More feminine,better with girly outfits not thought about it ?

Im not sure ive worn tights since i can remember so this im not really sure.

I prefers tights than pants, specially when i go out at night, its more sophisticated.

Probably 4 or 5 days a week.

Ankle socks and over the knee socks.

What are your style tips for wearing tights ?

If they are prints/pattern tights, let that be the only printed item you wear . Tights should help make the most of your legs so be careful with some patterns that make legs shorter or wider, etc. Be sure which tights suit your legs and body type better.

Do you keep a spare pair of tights in your bag ?

Sometimes in autumn or spring i wear an outfit that will go well without tights and with a certain tight and i keep it in my bag so if i get cold i put on my tights and it does not ruin my outfit.

The best and worst things about hosiery, Love-hate ?

The best about hosiery is the variety there is, specially in colors and textures. The worst is how its seasonable. You can't wear tights in summer because of the heat and you can't wear ankle socks in winter or you freeze to death.

Do you recycle your tights ?

Im not sure what you mean, i just use them untill the holes in them start to look ugly instead of accidental.
