New Christina Aguilera Video – Not Myself Tonight
After seeing Christina Aguilera’s new video “Not Myself Tonight
”, many people are saying that she took a lot of Lady Gaga and Madonna elements and that she’s trying too hard.
The song is extremely raunchy, but actually Christina has done many videos like that, so I’m not sure that she’s trying to “beat” Lady Gaga or Madonna. Her vocals, as usual are great and she does look once again awesome in her new video. The question is, do you like the song itself? Watch it below:
Christina Aguilera – To Perform on The Oprah Winfrey Show
It was announced today, that Christina Aguilera
will perform on the Oprah Winfrey Show on May 7th, at 10 am at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The performance will be used to promote her upcoming new album “Bionic”, which will be released on June 8th in the U.S. It is said that she will most likely perform her official first single of the album “Not Myself Tonight
”, which has become the most added song on the Top 40 and Rhythm radio this week.
Recently Christina Aguilera
shared a letter with her fans:
"Since the release of my last studio album, "Back to Basics
", I have become a mother, a wife, and most recently an actress. All of these new experiences have allowed me to face new challenges and explore different sides of myself I did not even know existed."
"I am a woman who wears many hats and carries many responsibilities. There are so many characteristics that define me, and this album was put together to represent all of those different parts of myself. The sound is not necessarily easy to define because I am not easy to define. I can be serious. I can be playful. Sexual. Loving. Tough. Hardworking. Honest."
She continued, "I was able to explore and create a fresh, sexy feel using both electronic and organic elements with subject matters ranging from playful to introspective. This allowed me to challenge myself by using my voice in ways I never had before. It also allowed me to push personal boundaries and explore what is possible for my future and me as an artist."
Christina Aguilera Releases “Not Myself Tonight”
Christina Aguilera
has released the full length version of her new single "Not Myself Tonight". Here's what she tells her while she sings:
"Tonight I'm feeling a little out of control," Aguilera
whispers seductively on the introduction to the tribal house-inspired track. "I'm doing things that I normally wouldn't do. The old me's gone, I feel brand new, and if you don't like it, f*** you." (The last two words are replaced by a giddy shriek on the song's edited version).
"I'm dancin' a lot, I'm takin' shots and I'm feelin' fine," Aguilera
continues on the song's second verse. "I'm kissin' on the boys and girls, someone call the doctor, 'cause I lost my mind!"
Many people will speculate whether Christina
can take on Lady Gaga with her new single and album, but both should not be compared. Christina
is doing her own thing and her vocals are fabulous.
“Bionic” will be released on June 8th and will feature collaborations with Sia, Le Tigre, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Hill & Switch and Ladytron.

Her official site says to check in the next couple of months, we should definitely hear something new later this year. Would the futuristic sound be something simillar to "Keeps Getting Better"? Is this the kind of music you'd like to hear from Christina, feel free to leave your comments.

On her post birth body: Being the perfectionist that I am, my attitude was, this had better hurry up–I want results! My trainer kept saying, “Give it time, you’re looking great.” Everyone around me was saying they could see a difference, but, you know, you’re hardest on yourself. I did see my stomach get flatter and tighter and more muscle definition.
On her new album: I just started recording it, but I can tell you that this record is all about fun. I’ll be referencing Pop Art, Andy Warhol’s art. So it will [sound] fun and fast-paced, and visually, it will be full of color, which is how it’s going to tie in with my new fragrance, Inspire [in stores next month]. But there’s also going to be a modern element to it that comes from my love of Tokyo.
On the paparazzi: A lot of people go out of their way [to be photographed]; I make a conscious effort to keep me and my family out of the limelight. The other day a paparazzo actually pulled up to my husband on the street and said, “Geez, I know the new house is big, but I’ve been trying to get a picture of you for months–you never leave the house!” And it’s true: I’ll go out at night after spending time with my son, but [during the day] I just hang out on my grounds, taking him for walks in the stroller in the backyard where we won’t be seen.
On keeping the sex life alive: We make sure we have Mommy and Daddy nights out. Our child comes first, obviously, but there are certain things you can do: Once we know he’s in good hands, we go out late at night and have a few drinks. Then we’ll come home, dim the lights and do our thing–and I’m not going into any more detail than that!
