Hi everyone! Don't you just hate it when a gorgeous top (finally) goes on sale and you trudge into said store to try it on and it looks kinda crappy on you?
Well, this happened to me with Anthropologie's Nexus top. I love the sweeping ruffles, the brownish gray shade and the overall "prettiness". Unfortunately, this top made me look like a box - I blame the middle ruffle. Regardless, this top is now on sale at Anthropologie for $29.95 - which is a steal if this top works for you. Plus, it's the feature of this week's Cubicle to Cocktails!
This particular brown/gray shade works splendidly for both work and play. I like it paired with basic black and white as well as skinny jeans. It all works so well.
So, friends - I know Kim from Anthroholic looks adorbs in this top, anyone else?!

Up first today is Ms. Mariah Carey...oh lawdy...

And yeeeaaah...I realize that Mariah can dress a little kooky at times, a little "stuck in the '90s"...but I'm sorry, there is NO excuse for hte atrocity above. The too-tight blueberry, cropped sweatsuit with platform heels is just NOT ok. Girlfriend - I am totes ok with sporting a casual look but this does noooothing for you and you look silly. WTF Mariah - please bring back the "Honey" days. You looked put together and fashionably chic.
And then there is the Bunting Peplum Cardigan from Anthropologie...
I have NO problem with the cut or stripey-ness - I think it's quite fetching, actually. No no, the reason that this sweet little cardi makes it into my WTF Friday is because of its price. It's $248.
WTF, Anthro. I don't care if it's Leifsdottir. It's a cute, cotton cardi - $248 is insane. INSANE. Does it wash my car for me? Because at $248, it absolutely should.

I lurve Christmas. It's by far my favorite holiday. I love spending time with family and friends, lights, trees, cookies, dressing my dog up in silly holiday garb and giving. Seriously - I love giving Christmas presents. And while my husband is wonderful and a very generous and giving person, he doesn't always listen.
Yes he may hear me, but no, he doesn't always listen. So, I have to drop not-so subtle hints about things that I would enjoy for Christmas.
I thought I'd offer up a few items that I think are just lovely....and they are each less than $100. Maybe this will inspire your boyfriends, husbands, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and dogs to get you lovely items that you really want. Well...I did say maybe...

This is a super cute top that can be worn all year round!
Ok...I have NOT been subtle about my desire to own this top. I specifically passed over it so that I could actually have something on my Christmas list. Kim at Anthroholic did a great review on this top too!
Husband - I would really enjoy having this in my closet. Either color, size small. Write than down. Oh - and you'll have to go to the store because it's sold out in my size online. :)
